India, NASA released pictures from space at 9 pm! Know what is the truth of this claim

A picture is becoming very viral on social media. Some people sharing the picture are claiming that this picture has been sent by NASA (Nasa). In which the whole of India is seen shining.

Following the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi 9 PM 9 Minutes Appeal) today, people across the country gave the biggest message of solidarity by lighting a lamp and a candle. Along with this, people shared a lot of photos and videos on social media. At the same time, some people are sharing a picture saying that it has been sent by NASA. This photo was taken from the satellite. In which the whole of India is seen shining.

Along with sharing the picture, people are writing that this picture is of 9:03 PM tonight when all the people were switching off the lights of their houses and lighting lamps all over the country and the whole country was shining with light.

What is truth?

Actually, NASA has not released any such picture of India today. In the year 2017, NASA released some pictures that show how our planet Earth looks at night. Earlier in the year 2012, such pictures were also released. These pictures are called 'Night Lights'.

According to a report, this picture has been made by mixing together several pictures of India taken from satellite. This photo was made by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in 2003.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration showed the population growth in the country in this image. The white lights in the picture are those that were seen even before 1992, while the blue, green and red lights are the areas where the lights started appearing from 92, 98 and 2003.
